This weekend was Halloween – oh, the joy of dressing in costume! Perhaps you will choose your alter-ego, or your favorite movie or TV character, or just something spooky to get a good “BOO!” Whatever it is, the joy of pretending to be something you’re not to the end of getting loads & loads of CANDY – what could be better? This year, because Sam thought he had to work, Norah & I were the dynamic duo. And… after much deliberation… decided on the following: Baker & Cupcake. Not the most exciting, but her hat turned out pretty cute.
Her hat was a conglomeration of a couple hat crochet patterns (and I had to almost double the size for her little noggin!) but I got the tutorial for the pink pompom here. I also made my chef’s hat from a cute & VERY easy tutorial here. If your kiddo has a play kitchen, this hat could be a very cute addition (just need some tissue paper & cardstock). Along with our costumes, which we needed for a fun costume party Halloween night, I also made some delicious goodies to take along – mini pumpkin pies! You can find the recipe here at Cookies & Cups. I didn’t modify much of the recipe, except I used whole milk instead of half&half – but the filling was a little soft so its only good if you’re desperate. They were very cute & very delicious – let’s just say there weren’t any leftover to bring home!
